Momoyo Kaijima

Kaijima is a graduate of the Japan Women’s University and the Tokyo Institute of Technology. She was also awarded as the 2012 RIBA International Fellow. Momoyo Kaijima is principal architect and co-founder of Atelier Bow-Wow. She opened this Tokyo-based firm with Yoshiharu Tsukamoto in 1992. The firm designs residential, commercial and public spaces in Tokyo, Europe and here in the US. The firm specializes in domestic and cultural architecture in addition to urban research. Atelier Bow-Wow’s research is the heart of an experimental project ‘micro-public-space’ which is a novel conceptualization of the public space.
